Literature Text

Tears fall down your face
Trying to hide all of your disgrace
Rounding a corner to see every fault
Every blemish another blur between the lines
You can't see the difference from love and hate
Never will until it's much too late
If this isn't what you thought your life would be,
What the hell were you thinking?

Destiny was never kind to you,
At least not for long
Honey-colored lies poured from the walls
As tales of betrayal crept all around
It's okay to cover your head,
We both know you don't want to be dead

As age plays its games no one truly sees
Just how bad you can be
Crimson blood writing your story
Do you want this to be your crowning glory?
They'll leave you alone with the thoughts in your head
All of those words left unsaid

The fight for your life is just stating now
Just like everything you went through before
Silent calls through words of unease
Creeping up on you like a disease
Push back the hate,
If only you'd remember it's never too late
I needed someone to say this to me.
No one else would, so I felt it was time I had to step up to the plate myself.
